A comeback : Chambray top + satin bow

Hello everyone. A very happy Monday. I been away for few weeks and have been missing my blogging duties. It is hard to go back from a routine when options between family and blogging is on the table. Of course my fam fam comes first. Thankfully after being hospitalized due to a procedure complication, my husband is back home and getting better and stronger.  The thing is, even the simplest kind of medical procedures can be downright scary. We don't know what could go wrong every time we are put to sleep and undergone such a procedure. For what seems like already just a routines for doctors these days, not all their procedures have the same outcome. I don't like hospitals but I especially don't like anyone of my family on a hospital for a week.

Anyhow on a much more related note, I came back with non the less my new favorite top. You might say, oh another chambray top. True. But it is so comfortable, lightweight, perfect for summer, versatile and has pockets ! As a true fan of chambray, this one is an addition to my arsenal. And deciding to inject some glam to any outfit via a satin bow shoes in a fabulous cobalt blue color. There she was forgotten in my closet until I took her for a spin Saturday :)
I hope you have a great day.
Thank you from the heart.

The jean jacket

The jean or denim jacket has been around for decades. It is one of the most versatile piece of clothing anybody should have in their closet which makes pairing and wearing it the more easier.
It comes in different wash, price range and silhouettes. Jean jacket's are one of those things that the older it gets the better it feels and look.  Actually my husband has a vintage Levi's jacket that now has been handed down to me. It was too small for him but hang on to it for years. It is still huge on me but i but I sure that I can find ways to wear it one of these days when I feel like I am too cool for school.....
The possibilities of pairing a jean jacket are endless. See me here . Case in point, I am wearing mine with such fun, bright and colorful skirt. It almost makes me feel so youthful :) Such simple piece, easy to wear and yet it has a classic cult following....
Thank you from the heart.

Floral pink

Hooray for Friday!!!!!! Keeping everything in my outfit simple but with a pop of something something. I did it in small dosage. A pop of floral here via my long lost forgotten scarf and of course the pop of red for my footsies. The weather here is still finicky but dreaming of spring is not a long stretch either. A pale pink jacket + floral scarf would do the trick for now. And you know what they say, if you keep on dreaming and wear something spring like colors.... It will come sooner :)
Thank you from the heart.

Mix prints

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a great day so far. And how was your weekend? Did you do anything fun and exciting? I can't believe I did not get bored watching a 4 hour long movie. Mind you no breaks....  It's an old classic that maybe some or most of you might not even heard of until now. It's called Gone With The Wind ! Based on the book with the same title. If it doesn't ring a bell, please google it. Since we now lived in ATL, the book and movie has a strong ties in ATL because the famous author(Margaret Mitchell) was from here. I am sure you will fell in love with the characters of Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Battler. But enough of this and let us get to business.
Today I am mixing 3 prints. Never done this before. I had a max of 2 to be exact. Or maybe I did when I was little and in one of those days where I play dressed up, I might have been. 3 prints, eh??? what do you think? Plaid being the main highlight while the stripes and leopard in little doses. Fourth print most definitely not but a pairing with an understated ripped jeans is certainly a ok.
Easy peasy if you ask me.
Thank you from the heart.

Repeat

Repeat...Recycle...Re-wear...Giving an oldie but goody item in my closet another chance. For example, this faux fur wool jacket that I bought 2 years ago and only wear it few times. Why? I asked myself why too. Perfect outerwear for this colder days we have been getting lately. I am going through this buy less choose well phase in my shopping life :) right now and taking a consideration of what I have and work with it rather than just buy, buy, buy. It doesn't have to be a new item to blog about all the time but rather highlight a piece that I once love and fell in love again.
Whether you are in #NYFW or not, I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
xoxo

Pop the collar

Brrrrrrrr, it is so cold out here in Atlanta and it is not helping my days to be productive. Perhaps I am just getting old, hibernating and plain old lazy. I started doing things later during the day than I would hope for. What happen to the the early riser gets the worm? I missed a dozen worms in the process. Anyhow, inspired by my son's book(Geronimo Stilton, a super cool rat detective.) He wears his favorite trench coat with the collar popped ! But my question is does popping a collar have a place in style? Absolutely(says Fred Castleberry)(see the article here) and I say the same way. So if you feel like popping the collar anytime soon, go ahead pop away !!!!!
Stay fabulous and occasionally pop your collar.
Thank you for visiting. All your input and comments are so much appreciated.
xoxo

Twenty Fourteen

Dear twenty fourteen, I am looking forward for a great year. I have high hopes, expectations and imagination that it will be greater than 2013. Let's do it now and never look back..........
I don't make new year resolutions anymore because I tend to break them during the first two months of the year. Although one thing is I am trying to do this year is to do a 52 Week Savings Plan Challenge. Me and my husband are trying to do this individually. One thing though is he ask me last week in order to save up what would I give up? Hmm tough, not shopping of course, lol. I told him I will skip eating out once a week. He said I thought you will say not to buy any shoes. Oh no can't give that up, I said. He just rolled his eyes and I am used to that already. Anyway the way this saving plan works is each week you set aside a ($1), Week 2($2), Week 3($3) and so on. Basically you just need to double up what you save the week before. By the end of the year, you will have $1,378.00.
Is that cool or what? I am excited about this and will give updates on how I am doing so far.
Hi everyone. Happy Monday, stay warm and safe.
xoxo
