Marriage of colors

I love wearing two contrasting colors in my clothing choices. It's like a collaboration of colors that truly reflects a happy and fun side of my personality. Just like with these previous post(here & here). I adore the green & blue when paired together. Two contrasting colors but are visually pleasing & harmonious to our eyes. Or to simply put it my way - a happy marriage of colors !

I am not only talking about colors today but the whole outfit. I think I am virtually chatty this morning and surprisingly my brain is all wide awake this early :).

Crop tops, I despise it when it first came back as a hot trend. I have my fair share of wearing them back in the 90's. It takes me like ages in finding just the right one. I have several finds and I am more than happy that I did jump in to this trend wagon happening before it was over. This top reminds me of design hybrid of crop top and a bomber jacket. The green color drew me right away and as soon as I got my hands on it, I already knew what skirt to paired it with. What do you think?

And how fun is this floral embellish clutch that I think pull the whole look together. I love it a lot that it made it's return to the blog not sooner than enough.
I hope you are having a great day !
Thank you from the heart.

Weekend romper

Without a doubt, romper is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I wear it all the time and no matter how I tried to stay away from it's allure and charm and refuse to buy more, it draws me back over and over. A little inconvenience during bathroom breaks doesn't bother me if the trade off is comfortability, cuteness factor and versatility. On summer time, I practically live in it ! I got this floral romper on a major sale from Loft and cannot even be more happier. This is Saturday's outfit for me doing some errands and movie night afterwards.
It was my weekend no holds barred comfort :) How was yours?
I hope you have a fantastic Monday and the rest of the week.
Thank you from the heart.

She's in black

This is not an LBD. Although it looks like one but actually it's a crop top paired with ruffle skater skirt. An all black or even a monotone outfit should not be at all boring. It can be interesting if you play your cards right. In this outfit, I played different textures and silhouette to make the whole ensemble interesting.

I like crop tops but I also like not to show a whole lot of my mid section. A peaked of tiny skin or non at all is more than enough for me. I leave those to the more daring and younger population.

This tiered ruffle tulle skirt speaks for itself. It is a darling and adorable. Screams all girly ! A true representation of myself.

This floral embellish clutch is as pretty as it is in pictures but even more gorgeous in person. The flowers were made from thin pieces of metals which are wrap in colorful mesh fabrics with sheen and beadings in the middle.

This is what I wore to a garden party me and my husband attended the other day. While everyone is wearing florals and all,  the rebel in me decided to wear an all black ensemble. Hey, it has ruffles, it's whimsical and my clutch is floral embellished !!!! . Guess what, I did receive lots of compliments that day :) :) What do you think?
I wish you have a fantastic day !
Thank you from the heart.

I heart dresses

What do you think of these dresses below? These are my picks from Tidebuy. An online retailer of affordable and unique homecoming dresses. It is easily to get overwhelm from their website because there are tons of unique choices that they offer. However, if you have an idea, a style and budget of what you are actually looking for then it is as easy as a pie to select the one that you mostly like. I wish that the choices were these many when I had my school homecoming back the days.
Happy Wednesday everyone....
Thank you from the heart.

Life's a beach

We are on the last leg of summer and I am already starting to miss all the days of it's glory. Last week, I shared my post on our trip to Savanna(here). This happy Monday morning, brings us to the beach ! We went to a short trip to Tybee Island few weeks ago. A good 4 hours drive from Atlanta. This is the thing about going to the beach is that even though there are a lot of visitors each year, it is never ever feels like crowded to me. There is always your own space. This summer we went to 2 water parks here in GA but both feels too crowded for me even if we went on a Monday. Not enough room compared to just being on the beach under a colorful umbrella, sandy feet, a great book to read, gluten free pizza for lunch and a day filled with boogie boarding and playing with waves.
Yes, we found a restaurant by the beach that serves gluten free food and we are as excited to try it. Even though I lose my fav mirror sunnies but thank goodness I found a replacement on a nearby stores that are walking distance to the beach. I just bought it to keep me from squinting and protect my eyes from harsh sun but it turns out I ended up liking it a lot. Next time, I will try not to forget to take some pictures of those cute shops.
As I end this post and call it a night, going to the beach year after year is always fun and exciting for us. Something of me and my husband can look back too when we are younger and my son is little.  All but great times....  It never gets old, doesn't it?
For all we know, life is a beach !!!!
Happy Monday everyone and appreciate you being here.
Thank you from the heart.

Gingham and Mr. Lizard

This week has been super busy for me. But better late than never for a post which topic is gingham prints. With such a classic color and print, pairing is as easy as pie for me today.
The different ways that the gingham print was used on this top is what truly draws my attention. To add contrast to the manly style and a boxy silhoutte, I added some playful and girly touches to the overall look. This fluted skirt is one of my favorites and I think the color and it's shape highlights my gingham top more. And as you might have notice in my previous post, I like pairing cobalt blue with black/white. I think that these colors are just lovely when paired together.

On another note, notice all the greenery in my background? My son found a small lizard and put it an empty cup and brought it inside the car without me knowing. And if you are a parent of a little boy, you know how they like to play with those creatures, right? They also don't listen and will do the exact opposite when you tell them not to take em' out ! He was holding it but managed to escape and so quickly crawled under the passengers side. Can you imagine me now in a super panicked mode ! We have a lizard in the car..... I got out of the car quickly as I can and told my son that he better caught that lizard or we are not going  anywhere. I know that I am acting like a big baby, lol but I just don't anything crawling on me while I am driving and will jolt me from my focus. Even though it was the first time that we have lizard on loose in our vehicle, it was not the first time I travelled with bugs, frogs and lizard. I really don't mind. I just do not want them loose around.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Blue cage

O Captain my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;

But O heart! heart! heart!

O the bleeding drops of red,

Where on the deck my Captain lies,

Fallen cold and dead.
(one of the memorable lines from the movie "Dead Poets Society")

We grew up watching you.
 I grew up watching you.
Thank you for all the years of making us all laugh. Such a brilliant with your craft.
You will never be forgotten.
May you finally rest in peace, Robin Williams.
What is your favorite movies of his?
Mine were Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, Bird Cage, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning Vietnam and many more...

I think that aside from bathroom breaks tiny inconvenience of wearing a romper/playsuit, it is a versatile   piece of clothing. No worries of having to pick a different top or bottom or vice versa to match and that is why I love to wear them as much as the weather dictates. The options for these are boundless. As for mine, I just adore the caged detailing. And since I get cold easily inside restaurants, the sleeves will give me enough warm without having to add more layer.
I hope you have a great day.
Thank you from the heart .
