Yesteryears

Fashion truly does evolves. Trends change. I have seen it and so have you. One way or the other you and I are somehow part of that trend be it in the past or the future. Fashion trends do tend to comeback.  Oftentimes greatly accepted but sometimes too not at all. But when it does, there is always a fresh take, a different spin, a twist ! Just like this skirt, a midi in plaid ! Oh yes please... As the silhouette for a midi skirt mostly right below the knees, it is quite modest. But the plaid print gives it a punk rock vibe, an edge, something fresh and current ! Never miss a beat.....
Yeah, I am wearing a midi skirt, all sweet, modest and girly like but the plaid print puts my inner goddess in "rebellion state of mind".
Fashion trends are fun, exciting and can also bring out a rebel in you :)
Wear what you like, love what you wear....
I hope you have a fantastic day.
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo

Weekend romper

Without a doubt, romper is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I wear it all the time and no matter how I tried to stay away from it's allure and charm and refuse to buy more, it draws me back over and over. A little inconvenience during bathroom breaks doesn't bother me if the trade off is comfortability, cuteness factor and versatility. On summer time, I practically live in it ! I got this floral romper on a major sale from Loft and cannot even be more happier. This is Saturday's outfit for me doing some errands and movie night afterwards.
It was my weekend no holds barred comfort :) How was yours?
I hope you have a fantastic Monday and the rest of the week.
Thank you from the heart.

Gingham and Mr. Lizard

This week has been super busy for me. But better late than never for a post which topic is gingham prints. With such a classic color and print, pairing is as easy as pie for me today.
The different ways that the gingham print was used on this top is what truly draws my attention. To add contrast to the manly style and a boxy silhoutte, I added some playful and girly touches to the overall look. This fluted skirt is one of my favorites and I think the color and it's shape highlights my gingham top more. And as you might have notice in my previous post, I like pairing cobalt blue with black/white. I think that these colors are just lovely when paired together.

On another note, notice all the greenery in my background? My son found a small lizard and put it an empty cup and brought it inside the car without me knowing. And if you are a parent of a little boy, you know how they like to play with those creatures, right? They also don't listen and will do the exact opposite when you tell them not to take em' out ! He was holding it but managed to escape and so quickly crawled under the passengers side. Can you imagine me now in a super panicked mode ! We have a lizard in the car..... I got out of the car quickly as I can and told my son that he better caught that lizard or we are not going  anywhere. I know that I am acting like a big baby, lol but I just don't anything crawling on me while I am driving and will jolt me from my focus. Even though it was the first time that we have lizard on loose in our vehicle, it was not the first time I travelled with bugs, frogs and lizard. I really don't mind. I just do not want them loose around.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Blue cage

O Captain my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;

But O heart! heart! heart!

O the bleeding drops of red,

Where on the deck my Captain lies,

Fallen cold and dead.
(one of the memorable lines from the movie "Dead Poets Society")

We grew up watching you.
 I grew up watching you.
Thank you for all the years of making us all laugh. Such a brilliant with your craft.
You will never be forgotten.
May you finally rest in peace, Robin Williams.
What is your favorite movies of his?
Mine were Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, Bird Cage, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning Vietnam and many more...

I think that aside from bathroom breaks tiny inconvenience of wearing a romper/playsuit, it is a versatile   piece of clothing. No worries of having to pick a different top or bottom or vice versa to match and that is why I love to wear them as much as the weather dictates. The options for these are boundless. As for mine, I just adore the caged detailing. And since I get cold easily inside restaurants, the sleeves will give me enough warm without having to add more layer.
I hope you have a great day.
Thank you from the heart .

Floral Monday

Yesterday was a very special day for our family. It's was my favorite little boy's birthday. He turn 9. Although I been planning a great party for him and has an idea of a perfect theme for several months already, he told us last week that he don't want to have a birthday party. Ok, who's child doesn't want a birthday party?????? I tried my hard to convince him but I was not successful. The boy was firmed with his decision. He just want to go to the water park, a good chocolate cake and a dinner to restaurant of his choice. As simple as that !!!! No fuss and mess.....
How can we not give what he wants.
We adore him the first time we saw him.
I already love him before I even met him.
I learn that my patience can stretch beyond my capacity because of him.
He likes to challenge me of what I know and I do not know.
He is the source of my laughter and happiness.
He's my baby boy forever.
Nine years ago, we were gifted with a gift of life. A healthy baby boy whom we love beyond forever. He is growing up way too fast and I am not ready, never will ever be ready.....

As for my outfit, this shorts is my first floral one and the most comfortable so far. It feels like I am wearing a pajama ! The fit is more loose and the adjustable waist makes it even better.
I hope you have a great week.
Thank you from the heart.

Playful: Cape sleeve + Colorful fringe

An all black ensemble is classic, chic, slimming and a very safe bet when I am crunch for time and need to throw something really quick. I can add my favorite black tote too and out the door. However at times, I'd like to be playful when dressing up. What a better way to jazz up an outfit but with a fun and colorful fringe clutch. For me the colors and the fringe evokes youthfulness and carefree.
Why can we be all forever young?
When our skin are free of blemishes and pimples.
When our skin is plump and gorgeous.
Life is short, be young at heart and playful at times.
Happy Monday everyone and let us start this week fresh !
thank you from the heart.
