Elvis Paisley

It is not a typo error. You are reading it right ! To those Elvis Presley fans including me, I don't mean to offend or disrespect the King. When I thought about what the title for this post. I thought that it would be fun if I titled it Elvis Paisley. My husband says it is cheesy and yes it is really cheesy. But the things is I can be sure that there is no cheesy with this paisley dress. It is one of the most comfortable and the most effective outfit anyone should wear to a buffet function. Why? Because you can get away with stuffing yourself with food and the belly baby would not even show(trust me!). It is no way near a fall style inspiration as of yet but when the weather gets cooler I can swap my ankle sandals for more colder temp appropriate footwear  & some opaque stockings to combat colder days or a tall boots is also a good alternative. But how crazy it is that we are already in Fall and transitioning to Winter soon and I can still wear sandals !! Although this might be the last time but in sooner I can finally welcome cool, freezing, snow and polar vertex weather with an open arms :).
Thank you from the heart

Below the knee

Hi everyone. Cheers to another beautiful Tuesday. Is there any item of clothing that you are most intimidated of? Do you always go by the fashion rules and follow strictly? It is tricky and compromising when you are petite. Thou shall not wear skirts or dresses that hemlines were below your knee, you will look a lot shorter
For the longest time, I been wanting to try the midi trend. There are so many options out there but somehow I am cautious and overshadowed by the rules. For awhile I convince myself that this trend will shall pass and I don't have to see it ever again. However, I am a curious person. I want to try things before I say no. So I pull the trigger and hit the confirm purchase and I am here now my very first midi dress. And if you remember, I have tried the midi skirt as well via this post/post. Curiosity and fear no more. I once again push myself a bit my comfort zone. I tried and even more braver to take photos and share with you all. I've had these dress for a while and these photos were from few months ago but I felt not comfortable to post it on my blog. I've got nothing to lose, i felt more comfortable and for heaven sakes, I bought the dress so I did took a plunge. Being a petite gal, it is tricky. Like trial & error. Win or lose, here you go... I just broke the rules that were made to be broken. Me, in a midi dress.
Oh, and I want your brutally honest opinion too. :)
Thank you from the heart.

Just like a caramel

Love at first sight? Most definitely not.
Love it now and later? Yes, yes.......
Totally taken when seen, and worn? Double yeah !
Hey everyone, Happy Monday.
I am talking about this striped caramel/black embellish top. I started to liked it as soon as I put it on. The material is not clingy and good quality. Thick but not too thick and will be good layering piece for Fall and Winter days. Even though it is more on a boxy cut, the darts on both sides just below the bust area gives an illusion of a smaller waist.
The color is a perfect caramel and not the typical color combo.
Comfortable, non itchy and the embellish collar gives this top a more dressier vibe.
And as much as this top is adorable, let me also say how glad I am found a laser cut bucket bag for a whopping $20..... And that the straps are shorter so I don't have to worry about long straps which can be annoying to some shortie gal like me :).
Today is my wonderful husband's birthday and as one of my gift for him, I will relieve him from his photographer duty for the day. I cannot imagine my life without you in it.
Love you all the way to the moon and back....
Thank you from the heart.

Abstract

Well a good thing about wearing a dress is you don't have to worry about a top. No worries if this top would go with that bottom. A strong trend lately were coordinating tops/bottoms that makes dressing a lot easier. No brainer ! When I first saw this dress, I was immediately drawn by the silhouette and the print. To me it has a vintage flare. But do me a favor and take a close look and tell me if it resembles a wing print. Asos describe it as wing print. I called it abstract. What do you think?
Oh and happy Thursday peeps :)
Thank you from the heart.

Tuesday Cat

Happy Tuesday folks. I just catch myself with a print theme these week as evident with my last post and now and yet another favorite. Here, I featured plaid and today it's my all time favorite and some of you as well, the leapord print. I always think that the print speaks for itself and therefore it doesn't need anything else to spice it up. But rather just some add on's here and there, a tiny dosage ! A vest maybe in neutral color to match the bag and one pop color for some fun and visual interest and this little lady is literally out the door. How easy is that? For a more adventurous and fashion forward type, adding another leapord print is absolutely fine. Just don't over do it and get all crazy with the rest of the outfit.   You know, so much of a good thing is not good.
I also prefer a shift style dress as a silhouette instead of the body hugging/skin tight kind. It's just a personal preference and nothing against others who prefer body hugging kind. Now if I can only bring in some more floral prints into my wardrobe then that is another to talk about in my future post.
When the weather gets more cooler, I can wear my high boots, a tights maybe and thinking of a red coat to drape my shoulder and another outfit in the future.
Thank you from the heart.
Wishing you all a fabulous day !
xoxo

A plaid or a check?

After a few days of being out of blogging, it is great to be back again. But first things first.... Thank you. Thank you for all the kind words and thoughts from my previous post. I just hope that everything will be resolve and the outcome will be favorable for my little brother and I am not angry anymore.
It's Friday,  a great day so let's kick this negativity on the side, shall we and talk something much more relevant here.
I have this strong affinity with plaid print. I adore it as much as I adore leopard prints. To me it evokes fun and youthfulness. A reminder that the holidays are just right around the corner. It is a versatile print that no wonder almost everyone takes a liking to it. I am actually wearing a plaid print short dress but I wanted to wear it differently. I transformed a dress and made it into a tee by folding the remaining fabric inside.  Plaid is a  true classic that never fails to disappoint. Do you like plaid prints too?
Thank you from the heart.

Sunday

Lazy day, beautiful weather, lots of great food and of course the Super Bowl XLVIII ! We are rooting for the Denver Broncos but their play was disappointing and lack luster. Thank goodness they even score otherwise it would be a total embarrassment for Manning and his team. It was however a fantastic performance for the Seattle Seahawks, a game well played. Honestly I don't understand the game. I am on it for the food, half time show and of course the commercials. If you were from US and familiar with football here I am sure you know what I am talking about :). But if you're not, how was your Sunday anyway?
On the other hand with no expectations, I found this swing jacket to my surprise while thrifting the other day.
