Window down

If you are lucky enough to live somewhere warm and sunny, then you are very lucky. It has been so cold everywhere and today I heard on the news that it is even colder in Chicago than in the North Pole. My son was very happy to stay home for 2 days because most schools here in Atlanta were closed due to weather. I myself don't feel like going out. My daily outfit consist of rotation of pajamas and socks. I know it is not a fabulous sight but I feel like hibernating on this cold weather with a cup of good coffee in the morning or a hot cocoa. If it's not for no more food to cook at home, I dare not to go outside. 

And can you blame me for wearing over and over again my new found favorite faux fur vest? She gives me warm and comfort just like my home made soup and stew as per my husband and son. I piled on top of another olive vest and a sweater for texture, color and mainly to combat cold. 

And as for my little photographer, he agreed to take photos provided he gets to stay inside the car with just the window roll down and properly fed with his choice of food. I think that it is a lot easier to tag him along when he's just a baby and not when he's 8. And yes, he likes to eat at restaurant and no more kids meal. The boy knows how to negotiate !

So while we are waiting for my mother in law at the airport pick up zone only, my son snap some photos of me(of course me urging him). Not quite a busy day, less cars at the curve that's why we did it. But the funny thing is those airport security were on their segway were just literally few steps from me and did not even say a word like "ah miss this is a 5 minute pick up zone only" and "Why are you taking photos"? ha ha ha......The two of them just watched.

Tutu Dots

Happy Thursday everyone. Wow, this week is going by way fast. I am tired today due to lack of sleep. I stayed up all night reading a book. It is so good that I can't put it down and before I knew it I already see the daylight peeking through windows. Managing my time is not my strongest points lately. Nothing much going on lately except for that this sheer polka dot top is cute and it's hard for me to pass it up. It's hot here during the day and raining in the afternoon towards the evenings so anything that is comfortable, easy to wear and yet stylist is what I am leaning to a lot these days.

Queen Bee

Hello, hello........... Taking an inspiration from last nights show that my son loves to watch, The Animal Planet. Last nights episode were all about the bees. Injecting sunny yellow, a classic black and dotted pants to otherwise a super windy, cold and almost boring day. Thus recreating an inner queen bee in me.  Now if only I have wings. 

On another note, this coming up Saturday(March 9) will be an all day affair for me. My son's first baseball game for the season and an invite to Atlanta's Neiman Marcus to meet and greet Kay Unger New York and Phoebe Couture designer Christy Carlisle Smith. She will be presenting her 2013 Spring collection. I would not miss both events and I know that I will have fun.

Add Some Parka

Hello everyone. Why is it that when I am actually looking for a particular item of clothing it seems like I cannot find just the right one. With me being petite, I have a few considerations to make in terms of sizing and all. Like for instance, this parka jacket that I found when I am actually shopping for something else. Without any contemplation, little miss parka went home with me and I cannot even be more happier. It has enough weight to it, detachable fur collar, great for layering, not too thick, well made and most of all not too long and too large that overpower my petite frame. Don't you just love shoppings days like that? 

On another note: did anyone watch the Oscars last night? Some nominees that I was hoping to win actually won. I think Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence and Halle Berry are all drop dead amazing ! Just a perfect time to unwind and let me reflect on our game plan for the week ahead. One thing is for sure though, it is gonna be very busy !

Fur Sweater

Hello everyone. How have you been lately?  Pardon my hair with these post. It is very windy when we took the pictures. I found this sweater over the weekend and it was on major sale. Dots and Camo

Hello everyone. How was your weekend? Mine was pretty busy as usual. There are so many things that needs to be done and seems like it just never ends. When I saw this pieces of clothing in my closet, the first thing that came to my mind was the movie G.I Jane. Oh yeah she's a feminine but she's definitely tough! The rough, rugged, casual and manly camo jacket meets the ultra girly, pink top and polka dots skirt. This outfit is the quintessential merging of masculine meets feminine vibe.......... What about you, what inspire you lately?

Tweed

Happy Monday guys. This is a quick post just to say hello. My mother duties is calling me.  My son will be home in a few minutes so I gotta help him with the homework and he has a project that is due on Friday. First things first, I confessed that this is my first tweed jacket. If you ask me why? I don't know. I am on the hunt and still hunting but I cannot find the one. A Chanel tweed jacket will be forever in my wish list but for now I am just as happy with this red/black number. It is warm enough and the color perks you up on those cold and gloomy days ! It is a versatile piece that I can dress it up or down. As I am writing this post I am already imagining other ways to style and wear her.  Thank you all for reading and I wish your week is off to a fabulous start.
