Bodysuit

Few more weeks and school is back. Yikes ! Getting early in the morning is usually not my thing. Especially waking up to the the sound of an alarm clock does not thrill me at all. Anyhow,  I found this lace bodysuit a month ago from Target.  It is from the Kate Young collection. I love how Target collaborates with fashion designers thus making it more affordable for everyone. How fun it is that a child's onesie's has made it to my adult fashion style. The stud fastening attach to the brief seems nostalgic to me and bring back memories. I called it onesie's (not made of lace, of course!)when my son used to wear them when he was a baby and now my adult version via a bodysuit. Even though the child's onesie and the adults bodysuit has similarities in design execution, the adult version is much more sophisticated. It is so much fun and special in a more nostalgic sense. As for a dosage of color to my outfit,  I don't mind a neon clash between my purse and the shoes.
Thank you so much for reading. I have a special date to attend to later.
I hope you are having a great day so far !

Fishnet

Hello everyone ! Let me say that we really enjoyed our vacation so much and it seems that it is always harder to go back with our normal lives. It's been days since we've been back home and my mind and body is still on it's vacation mode and I just can't shake it up. On a much related note: I am wearing fishnet top today. To me it is delicate and yet bold. It is sexy and yet rock and roll. I am keeping it simple, all black, with different textures and details and yet with a pack of punch. A good outfit to see my girlfriends for some cocktails and catching up.
Thank you so much for reading and until next time !

Black and white

Hi everyone. Happy Friday. I a big fan of black and white without a doubt, this time featuring a pinafore dress. Say what? Pinafore is a sleeveless dress like mostly worn by either women or girls as a protective apron and very popular from the 1700's to as early 20th century. Back then the purpose of wearing pinafore is to protect the child's dress from getting dirty while playing. Fast forward to the present and pinafore were not wear for the same purpose anymore. Definitely the concept, fabrics and colors have changed. And to play with contrast,  adding the neon colored pumps seals the deal !
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a fabulous weekend !

Peplum Lime + Sheer Panel

I love it when my mom comes and stays with us. It means that we don't have to worry about calling a baby sitter, we can just get up and go. And since my husband works takes him to another state and we moved, squeezing some us time into his days off are not that easy. Specially when we has tons to do around the house and my son has a lot of activities to attend to. A date night is a rarity this days. I
think that this lime peplum top with sheer yoke panel with a sweetheart trim is a perfect piece for a fun night out. We had an awesome time, good food and few glasses of wine. And as usual, I talked too much more than my husband which is typical.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend ahead and as always thank you for your time !

Mirror Blue

What drawn me to this bomber jacket when I saw it few weeks ago at my local Zara store was the tiny square mirrors all over the front. It just screams disco fun with an interesting pattern and weaving. The material is on the lighter side, comfortable and not itchy at all but it is has a little weight to it. I don't have anything like this in my wardrobe because I am always drawn to classic pieces. But once in a while I want to go out a bit of my comfort zone.  So after days of trying to convince myself that I don't need it, the inner voice in me won ! I surrender to the inner voice and pull the trigger. I order the size small but wish that I have order the extra small instead. Probably the fit would be much better. Also it is pretty obvious too that lately I have a slight obsession with cobalt blue.
On another note, how was your weekend? My son's baseball game was cancelled and so as the Atlanta Braves game that we are supposed to go. It is raining all Saturday and some in Sunday afternoon. Seriously, rain on springtime?
I hope you have a lovely day and thank you so much for reading !
