Splurge vs Save

I love a good pair of stud earrings and when I saw this pair, I know that I want to have it. I am talking about the Mise en dior tribal earrings from Dior's. She's a beauty, delicate, and has a very unique design approach that does the opposite in terms of construction. This pearl earrings worn unconventional way is right about my alley. Definitely I must say not your usual pearl earrings that we are accustomed to wearing. It feels like you are wearing it backwards. Even though I am keen into getting the Dior of course, I am as happy to get a cheaper version from Bauble Bar. It fits my budget at the moment and it kinda satisfy my cravings. Also my husband made a point that made me decide to get the designer inspired piece, he says no one knows it is Dior unless you tell people otherwise.
Since this is a custom jewelry, the hefty price is something to be considered. This is a "splurge" vs "save" campaign that I recently participated.
For the fraction of the price of the original version, these inspired one's were as good enough if you are fashionista on a budget. From every celebrities that I have seen wearing it and other fellow bloggers, I can say that this is the "it" earrings at the moment.
So what are you? Splurge or Save?
Happy Wednesday everyone.
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo
Sam

Bodysuit

Few more weeks and school is back. Yikes ! Getting early in the morning is usually not my thing. Especially waking up to the the sound of an alarm clock does not thrill me at all. Anyhow,  I found this lace bodysuit a month ago from Target.  It is from the Kate Young collection. I love how Target collaborates with fashion designers thus making it more affordable for everyone. How fun it is that a child's onesie's has made it to my adult fashion style. The stud fastening attach to the brief seems nostalgic to me and bring back memories. I called it onesie's (not made of lace, of course!)when my son used to wear them when he was a baby and now my adult version via a bodysuit. Even though the child's onesie and the adults bodysuit has similarities in design execution, the adult version is much more sophisticated. It is so much fun and special in a more nostalgic sense. As for a dosage of color to my outfit,  I don't mind a neon clash between my purse and the shoes.
Thank you so much for reading. I have a special date to attend to later.
I hope you are having a great day so far !

Silky

Who says you cannot wear your silky bottoms while out and about. The fun part of wearing my silky shorts is like wearing lingerie but in a whole new way. It is light, not constricting but rather very comfortable and just perfect to wear for the not so cool days. I pattern mix but I prefer to stay in the same color family. I think the look is more coherent that way. Since to me the look is more girly and soft, i edge it up a bit with these lace up booties for contrast.
I hope you are having a great week so far !

Scarlet Red

Happy Monday everyone. Oh my it is June already, so quick ! This dress had me at hello. The color has brightness and richness and is a little intense but it is a more fun-loving than true red. The structure is tempered but with a degree of defiance. Long, light, lace and airy with a touch of sex appeal.
I hope you have a great day and as always thank you for your time.

Highlighter

Hi everyone. Happy Thursday ! As far as I have remember I used my neon highlighter for marking key words or information during trainings at work, on notes during school, titles of a subject and so on and on. But it never occur to me that one day, I will wear it in my feet ! I have always plays it safe when it comes to colors most especially when it comes to my footwear. Many moons ago, majority of my shoes were black. Why? Like everyone's universal answer, it goes with everything. Fashion is evolving and so as my style. A highlighter neon color never scared me anymore but rather allowed me to be more experimental and playful. Injecting a punch of color to any outfit is always fun without compromising my own style. One thing is for sure, this color never miss a beat ! What about you, have you been loving some bright colors lately?
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you are having a great week so far !

Plaid, Wedge And Stumble

Hello everyone. If it is still not obvious that I have a real love for leopard prints then I do not know how else to show it. I wore this wedge bootie and my favorite plaid shirt on our way to a casual dinner but I did not know that a spur of the moment let us go see the lake falls would be on the agenda.  The place were not far from our place anyway.  I am not wearing the proper footwear but I was outnumbered and persuaded so why not? I am so hard headed and insist that I am fine without taking my shoes off. The  reason being that I do not want to get my feet dirty.......... The thing is, I almost hit the ground face first because when I stood up I stumbled and my husband was not close enough to catch me. But I was lucky enough that it did not happen.  I guess after years of wearing high heels, I master the balancing act that prevented me from completely kissing the ground. My husband's reaction - secretly laughing inside (i can tell) and told me that I am a bit over dramatic. See pictures below and tell me If I am.  I think it was funny and embarrassing at the same time.   I was not mad, I actually laugh so hard on our way to our car......... The day might be gloomy but I really had a good laugh and give a chance to wear two of my closet staples.

Have a fabulous weekend and be safe. Thank you for reading !

Are you ok mommy?

Color Blind

Happy Thursday everyone. I hope you all  had a good halloween. My son had enough candies to last him till the end of the year or maybe not because I will enjoy some of it from time to time. He had so much goodies that he cannot contained the excitement.  I have a question. I know Halloween is over but do I look like a pumpkin with this top on? Well my husband said so when he saw me with these outfit the other day. I came down and he said "you look like a pumpkin. The colors are so halloween ! He thought that I am participating at our halloween costume contest at work since I have mention that to him a few weeks earlier. When I put it on I did not even think about it. What was on my mind that morning was to go get dressed and be ready on time to avoid rushing and be late for work but definitely not to look like a pumpkin ! I told him that it's caramel and not orange. What do you guys think? By the way my husband is color blind. As I am finishing up with this post and look at this pictures - I asked myself, oh boy, oh boy, what was I thinking? In fairness, the website says it's striped tee in caramel/black!!!!

Have a great weekend !
