Mix prints

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a great day so far. And how was your weekend? Did you do anything fun and exciting? I can't believe I did not get bored watching a 4 hour long movie. Mind you no breaks....  It's an old classic that maybe some or most of you might not even heard of until now. It's called Gone With The Wind ! Based on the book with the same title. If it doesn't ring a bell, please google it. Since we now lived in ATL, the book and movie has a strong ties in ATL because the famous author(Margaret Mitchell) was from here. I am sure you will fell in love with the characters of Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Battler. But enough of this and let us get to business.
Today I am mixing 3 prints. Never done this before. I had a max of 2 to be exact. Or maybe I did when I was little and in one of those days where I play dressed up, I might have been. 3 prints, eh??? what do you think? Plaid being the main highlight while the stripes and leopard in little doses. Fourth print most definitely not but a pairing with an understated ripped jeans is certainly a ok.
Easy peasy if you ask me.
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo

My Valentine

It's Valentine's day once again. I don't exactly remember what we did last year and yet here we are again celebrating this event. Surely 2014 is faster than it seems. No biggie plan for us. My husband and I both agreed not to get each other anything fancy for a gift. For me, a good dinner somewhere would be enough. I would even prefer for him and my son to make me a home made card than the one they can buy at store. Or even a handwritten letter would even be better! I am even ok celebrating at home. I want to surprise him but he's always one step ahead of me. Well I will find out somehow.

How are you celebrating? Tell me about it next time. But for now, loved and be love..... Happy  Valentine's day!
xoxo

The Bow

Hello everyone. I hope your day is doing great so far. One more day to weekend so what it is not to like. My son has his 8th year old birthday party yesterday. I think he did enjoyed it so much. It was raining so hard that kinda dampen the pool/splash party but nevertheless we did have fun, great company, food and later on the rain stops and the kids were able to go swimming.
When I saw this top at Asos a few weeks ago, it is not the oversized bow that got my attention first but how the edges around the bows which to me looks like piano keys. I think that it is just different. So this is for me right now. Keeping it simple and muted.
Have a great weekend everybody !

Feeling Blue

Happy Thursday everyone. My blog has been quite lately. I fully took advantage of the memorial day off. Needless to say, I extended the long weekend longer ! My son is off for summer and we are more busier. I try to schedule activities for us to do each day or else he will bug me to death if we just stayed home.  Also I do not want him to watch a marathon of cartoons or play computer games all day long. Swimming,  trip to the library, driving around some scenic routes and taking pictures are some activities that keeps me busy lately. So how is everyone doing?
I have this constant craving for this color. I think the vibrant hue is versatile to wear all seasons long. I played with textures and color contrast on a monochromatic look today. I just love how the yellow bag played well with the blues, both colors compliment each other.
Thank you all for visiting and for all the sweet thoughts. Until next time !

Highlighter

Hi everyone. Happy Thursday ! As far as I have remember I used my neon highlighter for marking key words or information during trainings at work, on notes during school, titles of a subject and so on and on. But it never occur to me that one day, I will wear it in my feet ! I have always plays it safe when it comes to colors most especially when it comes to my footwear. Many moons ago, majority of my shoes were black. Why? Like everyone's universal answer, it goes with everything. Fashion is evolving and so as my style. A highlighter neon color never scared me anymore but rather allowed me to be more experimental and playful. Injecting a punch of color to any outfit is always fun without compromising my own style. One thing is for sure, this color never miss a beat ! What about you, have you been loving some bright colors lately?
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you are having a great week so far !

Inspiration: Yellow + Blue

I get inspired this time with my very yellow saffiano leather bag and started pulling pieces in my closet that will compliment my sunny as the sun newest acquisition. As it turns out, i think that the pairing is easy on the eyes. Yellow + blue compliment each other, chambray is versatile and the moto jacket, well you can't go wrong with stripes ! The result is a perfect blending of colors and textures. What inspires you lately?

Lastly, thank you so much for all the tips and sweet thoughts about me suffering from spring allergies. Since my monday post, the pollen counts are still high as ever but it does not stop me from doing what I want to do outdoors such as walking in the mornings, errands and taking my son to his baseball practice and games. I will see my allergist sometime next week so I will start with my old regimen of shots and I so hate it !

Thank goodness we took some outfit post prior to all this pollen craziness around here.
On another note while I am doing my blogger duty of visiting other blogs that I support and liked,  somehow me and the ever fabulous Tiffany of I am Style-ish has the same inspiration in mind. Yellow, stripes and chambray. Oppsssss, well great minds think a like.
