Shredded

Hi everyone. How are you? I hope you are doing great.  I decided to wear my shredded shirt that I bought last year and never get a change to wear it a lot. I don't know, for some reason I think this top makes me look fat ! So I just always push her to the side and pick something else. But lately I got to thinking what the heck? Life is too short for me to even think about that anymore. Do you have those days where nothing seems to fit you right? Anyway going back to the reasoning behind my post title, here is it.........It is not a typo. That is the adjective that my son used when he saw me wear this top. He said "mommy what happen to your shirt? I said what do you mean? Why does it looks like that - shredded? Then my 7 year old walked away. We left and off to have a nice dinner. And when I thought that the "shredded" top conversation is over my son said to the waiter, " Can I have my chicken shredded,  please? Huh, the waiter was so clueless and my son gave me his infamous mischievous smile ! I got you mommy !!!!!!!! One of the many reasons why I adore him(biased i know) but in his own little ways, surely can make me laugh !

I really really love this clutch. She's been with me lately. Thank you all for reading and have a fabulous weekend ahead.

Update: I am not on a self imposed shopping ban anymore. That only last for about 2 days. Why would anyone wants their shopping veins died of pain and suffering, lol.  Would you?

A Repeat Of Gray

Hi everyone. Happy Monday. I apologize for being gone from the blogosphere. I am not in a best of health lately. I was sick and not being able to do anything but i sure do love surprises, gifts and challenges. I made a bet with my husband that I can go on a whole month of not buying any clothes or shoes. He said I can't ! He said that my shopping veins will collapse and soon die of coma. Hilarious ! I love to prove him wrong and so I started with this dress that I only wore once. A dress that I found again after closet cleaning and organizing. She's actually well made,  good quality, good material and very forgiving for my body type. This might be one of his tricks but I made a bet and a pinky promise ! This is a toughie you guys. I am actually comparing it to someone who is trying to quit smoking !

Thank you so much for reading and for all those nice words from my previous post. I like reading them. I hope your week is off to a fabulous start !

Stripes, Backyard And Football

Hi everyone ! Happy Thursday. My boys(husband and son) are playing football and I just can't make them stop to snap some photos before I head out to meet some girlfriends. They don't say anything, they just pretty much ignore me for a good 10 minutes. Then my husband finally said to my son, " ok let's stop for a while and we will take pictures of mommy". I said where? Here, he said.  Oh no, I got my suade shoes on, there is no way.....  "C'mon get on my back and I will carry you so you don't have to walk. " While my husband snap photos, my son keeps distracting him or getting in the front of the camera or behind me or asked some football questions to both of us or throwing the ball up in the air. He probably took like a gazillion photos to get some decent ones(not really decent I think). And in between takes my frustration had gotten bigger and bigger.  You can't tell in this photos but my husband said before he hit the shutter button one last time that " it is so funny that you can be irritated and then smile and pose in a matter of seconds". From a frown to a big ol' smile. It is so true my dear readers. Then my son being funny as he is, demonstrated what I looked like. Oh boy, the imitation was pretty close, we laugh so hard, a very good laugh !

Thank you so much for all the nice words from my previous post. Keep coming, I love reading them all. It is almost Friday so I hope everyone of you have a fabulous weekend.

It's A Date

Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. Nine years of marriage is a blessing. I am happy to be married to the most loving and caring person I have ever known in my life. We went out on a date and had a fantastic time. I still remember to this day when we went out for our first date. I hardly touch my food. Many years later,  I joked about it now that I can eat as much as he can. We talked a lot and joked a lot. We even talked about those guilty pleasure shows on TV that we used to watched and that already ends. Would you believe me for telling you that he will sat down with me to watch Sex in the City, Desperate Housewives and my other cheesy shows that we love to hate. It's so funny that he will be the one that reminds me sometimes that my shows are on in 5 minutes. He is not perfect and most certainly no one is but he is just perfect for me. That's why our union works. I don't think I would be the person I am today if we have not met.  I am always thankful for everything in my life but this is one of that I am thankful the most. I am blessed, I am blessed and cannot complain.

I hope your week is off to a great start and thank you so very much for reading my post.

A Dose Of Leopard

Hello everyone. How's your week so far? Mine was as busy as it can be. When I saw this skirt at F21 online, I actually have less expectation. I have an affinity with leopard print so I ordered it anyway just to satisfy my curiosity. It is actually a great quality. The leapord portion of the skirt  is made of a suade. The best part is that material has some stretch to it that accomodates to my ever growing belly on days that I over extend myself eating to my hearts content.

Today marks our 9th year wedding anniversary. How quick the time flies. Sometimes I ask myself, it has been that long? Seems like we just got married. I guess when you are in the happiest state of your life and you are with the right person, then everything works super duper fine. Oh, I just love my life right now.... Have a great weekend ahead of you.

Thank you so much for reading and for coming a long with me in this journey of my personal style.

Spotted And Some Memory Lane

Hi everyone. I am really loving this three day weekend. We did a lot but mostly family time. We went to watch a football game and went down some memory lane. Here's the story that I want to share if you don't mind me telling. Back when my husband was resting inside his dorm room, he overheard a man and his wife talking. The man was telling his wife that the room that my husband was occupying used to be his room. The conversation went on and on until the couple move on and leave to explore the campus some more. After hearing that conversation, my husband wonder -  maybe one day he will be back too with his wife just like that man he heard talking outside his room. Some 20 years later, my husband was back at UGA(University of Georgia) with me and our son. We really had a good time at the game eventhough we did a lot of walking and it's hot. The DAWGS won which was good. The thing is, I am happy that it was me that he took. I never heard about this story until we stop by outside his dorm room that day. After we're done in the campus, we went downtown and it was definitely a collage town. Lots of young people on the street. The atmosphere was fun and young.  I suspected that those college kids are already drinking even before the game starts and continue on after the game is over. Definitely a party town ! It makes me realize how I miss my collage days too. On a related note: tell me if you cannot spot me with these pants on even from a distance? I love the pattern. I decided to just pair it with a simple tee to tone down the print a bit.  I apologize for a blurry pictures. I been playing with my camera settings and I am working on it.

Have you seen this heels lately? I love love it.

Thank you so much for reading and may you have a fabulous week ahead of you.
