Into the gray side

Hi everyone. I been craving and lusting anything gray as soon as the colder months hits us. Gray is a strong trend this Fall/Winter 2014 and I am so happy about it. The color is versatile, neutral and as classic as black. And on every trend, there are always tons of options for everyone's budget. Making all trends so affordable for everyone. I can say I am a smart shopper because I always never pays full price for any item of clothing or shoes. I always wait when they the item that I am eyeing goes on sale or when there is some special promotion going on. Or ask if they can price match. It doesn't hurt to ask and especially during the holidays, retailers are very forgiving and wants that sale and will be more likely be accommodating. Since the biggest shopping season has officially started, more awesome sales and promotions is definitely on it's way. Lots of savings, special deals, longer hours, free shipping, and many more perks that retailers are offering these days are all we consider. Let's face it, any saving means more shopping, right ladies?
Into the gray sideNot only gray are a big trend that everyone including me are lusting about but also the big comeback of the 90's favorite, turtle necks. I am not a big fan of them back the days but now, I just adore them. A few weeks ago, I found these mock neck tunic sweater for a great price at my local Ann Taylor store at The Avenue Peachtree city location. It was markdown from $129 to $99 with an additional 60% off. What an amazing deal with something that on trend & good quality. If you want to see how I styled my tunic sweater, see my post here
Keep calm, enjoy a good coffee and have fun shopping.
Happy Thanksgiving.....
Thank you from the heart.

Below the knee

Hi everyone. Cheers to another beautiful Tuesday. Is there any item of clothing that you are most intimidated of? Do you always go by the fashion rules and follow strictly? It is tricky and compromising when you are petite. Thou shall not wear skirts or dresses that hemlines were below your knee, you will look a lot shorter
For the longest time, I been wanting to try the midi trend. There are so many options out there but somehow I am cautious and overshadowed by the rules. For awhile I convince myself that this trend will shall pass and I don't have to see it ever again. However, I am a curious person. I want to try things before I say no. So I pull the trigger and hit the confirm purchase and I am here now my very first midi dress. And if you remember, I have tried the midi skirt as well via this post/post. Curiosity and fear no more. I once again push myself a bit my comfort zone. I tried and even more braver to take photos and share with you all. I've had these dress for a while and these photos were from few months ago but I felt not comfortable to post it on my blog. I've got nothing to lose, i felt more comfortable and for heaven sakes, I bought the dress so I did took a plunge. Being a petite gal, it is tricky. Like trial & error. Win or lose, here you go... I just broke the rules that were made to be broken. Me, in a midi dress.
Oh, and I want your brutally honest opinion too. :)
Thank you from the heart.

// Lately

As summer of 2014 is almost to it's last stretch and sadly bid our farewell, here's what's life has been to us. Well some of it. My son took his first flight lesson and he truly enjoyed it. Yes, he flew that tiny airplane for 30 minutes with the exception of taking off and landing. Leveled, turn and handle this tiny bird. He told me just like his Xbox game at home.
With an occasional bump here and there due to air pockets and my stomach flutter, it is so peaceful up there ! What an experience for a 9 year old boy.
Once we landed he asked me, "mommy, are you scared"? No, not at all darling. Really, not at all !!!
I am more scared to ride this ferris wheel than a single engine Cessna airplane. Mostly because my husband shakes the basket. I looked down, my legs starts to shake.
This is the most delicious snow cones we have so far. It's so good I wish we all got one for each.
One of those movie night's they have during summer. We are line dancing. My son was shy to go down there by himself so mama has to do what mama should do.
Labor day was so hot, gave him an excuse to enjoy summer even more.
At the World of Coca Cola- Atlanta, me sampling some drinks from other parts of the world that Coca-Cola makes. My highest sugar level of all time. With all the sugary drinks that day, water was my choice of drink for dinner.
This is called the Vault where they hid the secret recipe for Coke. To add even more curiosity for the visitors, no one was allowed to touch it, get near it or step on the red line. For it triggers the alarm systems and the security will come rushing. The room where all the visitors were was only opens for less than 10 minutes no more no less otherwise it sets off the alarm, loud siren, red lights flashing and the door automatically shuts. Hmmmm, I wonder if the actual recipe was even in the Vault at all? Although I must say that it is not just the front facade of an actual safety vault but it really looks legit. Whether it is true or not, that is a good marketing strategy for their visitors. Keeps the people curious.
This is one of the coolest features inside the World of Coca-Cola Atlanta. Standing next to a frame and your face comes up through bubbles. Just like inside a Coke bottle.
I will be totally cheesy here, he's my Yin to my Yang and I really don't mind hanging out with him :)
Never would have imagine, my summer, our summer without our little darling boo....
Smile, live a little and I hope you have a fabulous day !
Thank you from the heart

She's in lace

If my 2 previous post(here&here) were both injected with bright colors, today's post is the exact opposite. It is more or less on a neutral color scheme.  I am aiming to combine different textures for today's pairings. The lace shorts is an oldie but goodie and one of my favorite summer staple and my top is as comfortable as it gets. And since summer is almost over, might as well wear these cork wedges because she's just begging me to pay attention on her. Besides the fact that summer is almost coming to an end(sigh) what a better day to wear some of my summer favorites and say bye, bye July.
August, well hello to yah!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone.
Thank you from the heart.
