Savannah

Summer is not over until we go to the coast. I am talking about the oldest city of Savannah in the state of Georgia. We been here so many times but the charm of the city never fails to fascinate me. The architectural designs of the older buildings, churches & turn of the century houses evokes lots of history and beauty.
One day is not enough to visit and to do things around town. There are so many historical places to see and ghostly cemeteries to go to as a tour by night. If that is not your cup of tea, a river cruise would be just as fine. We did all of those touristy stuff so this visit was more of dining experience, lots of picture taking and buy lots of pralines in one of the river streets candy stores. So old fashion candy making and always love to watch their workers made them ! It also doesn't hurt that they gave away free samples :).

This wrinkle free and uber comfortable maxi dress is perfect outfit for the day. It is like wearing a yoga pants but in a dress version in granite stripes. Lightweight and I actually feel sexy wearing it because it hugs my body just enough from top to mid section and flares out a tad for ease in walking. I got lots of compliments and a perfect way to show my tan arms. The granite stripe. It was on super sale from Loft which makes me even love it even more. The wedges are as much as comfortable to walk in as I remember. We didn't do lots of walking this time so it didn't bother me a bit.
 River street

Chocolate covered apples. This delight is seriously huge and heavy, it can knock your head and hurts :)

more truffles please and my favorite pecan pralines(the one on the top right corner)

The best shrimp sandwich & crab/corn/potato soup. I ate it all !

The bridge that connects Savannah to South Carolina.

Cruising the city is also a good idea. My son said next time we come, he wants to stay in that hotel you see at the far end left. Not a bad idea.

Trolley rides are everywhere in Savannah, they do tours around the city.

One of the historical structure(Kehoe House) in the city.

I am mesmerized by these charming & at the same time spooky Spanish Moss hanging from huge oak trees that were all over the city.

Can't leave the city without trying their horse drawn carriage ride.

Savannah is one of those places that is unique, old soul, charming, fascinating, beautiful and rich of history at every turn.

I hope your week is off to a great start.
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo

Weekend neon

We just got back from our mini vacay. We hit the beach before my son goes back to school. There's lots of boogie boarding and thankful that the waves are awesome the day we are at the beach. I will try to post some pictures sometime next week. We had a great time with great food.
I truly love these times that my son is little and we are young.

In the meantime let us talk about today's outfit pairings right now. There is always a first time. I mean the pairing of red & blue with neon. I am a bit hesitant with color pairings at first when I am playing it on my mind but when I try them all on, I told myself that there is no turning back. Push my comfort zone a tad notch and add some neon ! And since the colors are vibrant enough, my option for the top and the bottom in terms of style and silhouette is nothing but simple, a button down top and a slightly flared skirt. Well with the exception of some shoulder details of course.
I hope you like it and let me know what yah think.
I wish you a great weekend !
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo

Yellow Swing

Hello everyone. How was your weekend? Our's is the usual, jump packed with activities. I did took advantage of the no tax days and went a little shopping for school clothes and supplies for my little boy and also sneak in some little retail therapy for myself. My husband need not worry since I said little means little :).
Anyhow todays outfit doesn't lack the pop I need.
One of my favorite color combination is evident in my outfit today.
Yellow + blue, brights, harmonious, happy and simply great together.
My swing dress is just a darling and I adore it a lot. It is girly and so very me.
My only gripe is that it is not lined.
But not a biggie since I wore a slip underneath solves a tiny loophole for me.
Life is too short to be bothered by small stuff as such.
So smile, swing or twirl. It doesn't cost you a thing!
Thursday would be my son's first day at school. How fast this summer went by. So as we bid goodbye to summer of 2014, we will be heading to the beach and Savannah tomorrow and take advantage of the few more days we get to not worry and think about schedules, project and homework.

Have a fabulous Monday to all.
What is your new week looks like?
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo

She's in lace

If my 2 previous post(here&here) were both injected with bright colors, today's post is the exact opposite. It is more or less on a neutral color scheme.  I am aiming to combine different textures for today's pairings. The lace shorts is an oldie but goodie and one of my favorite summer staple and my top is as comfortable as it gets. And since summer is almost over, might as well wear these cork wedges because she's just begging me to pay attention on her. Besides the fact that summer is almost coming to an end(sigh) what a better day to wear some of my summer favorites and say bye, bye July.
August, well hello to yah!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone.
Thank you from the heart.

Cropped

Hola ! Thank you everyone for the sweet birthday messages for my little boy. He had a great time and told us that it was the best birthday ever ! But don't they say that all the time anyway :)? I been on the look out for a cropped out for some time now. Don't judge it took me this long !!!! I just can't seem to find the right one that hits the right spot. When I saw this white number. I like the neckline that elongates my neck and the flare out style is too cute to pass up. I paired it with this textured floral skirt for a flirty night out with the hubs. And since it can get cold inside I brought me my trusty color block varsity jacket. The material is delicate and thin enough for layering and paired well with my girly ensemble. The exposed zippers add a tad of edginess if I may say so.
I hope you have a fun day with lots of smile and sunshine.
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo
