Touches of gold

The thing about wearing OTK boots for me is to keep everything in your outfit simple. The boots itself is already a statement, therefore the rest of the outfit should just play a secondary role. I want a look that is less busy, more cohesive and not complicated. It may have been a monotone outfit but the texture play a big difference. I say it over and over in almost all my post but I think it makes dressing up so much fun and make us somehow a pro in mixing textures and prints. I am a fan of an all black ensemble but I like to add some spice to it. Case in point, some gold touches. Easy peesy, if you ask me. Out the door in no time. I like color, I like print and textures but we always go back with the basic of staying in one solid color. I called it cleaning the palette and start with something new tomorrow.
I hope you like it.
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo

Open field

Hello everyone. For those that celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope you all had a blast ! We had a wonderful thanksgiving with the company of the people we love. My mother in law's house was full of people but we managed to find space for everyone. A few days of time off is really nice but getting back to a normal routine is quite a challenged for me this morning. It may take until tomorrow to snap out of it. There are things that needs to get done so this is a quick say Hi to everyone and wish you a fantastic week. But first things first is hello December ! You sure came so fast. How can it be possible that we are a month away to welcome a new year. But one thing is for sure that this ankle boots are really made for walking. I been wearing it non stop and it is comfortable than I thought !
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo

Repeat

Repeat...Recycle...Re-wear...Giving an oldie but goody item in my closet another chance. For example, this faux fur wool jacket that I bought 2 years ago and only wear it few times. Why? I asked myself why too. Perfect outerwear for this colder days we have been getting lately. I am going through this buy less choose well phase in my shopping life :) right now and taking a consideration of what I have and work with it rather than just buy, buy, buy. It doesn't have to be a new item to blog about all the time but rather highlight a piece that I once love and fell in love again.
Whether you are in #NYFW or not, I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
xoxo

Fields

Cheers to a new week ! Happy Monday everyone. I hope everything is well with you guys. I love weekends and it makes me sad sometimes that is came so quick. But the good thing about a new week is,  I have a lot of "me" time to do whatever my heart desires. Maybe start slowly going back to working out again.? We shall wait and see.....What about you?

Window down

If you are lucky enough to live somewhere warm and sunny, then you are very lucky. It has been so cold everywhere and today I heard on the news that it is even colder in Chicago than in the North Pole. My son was very happy to stay home for 2 days because most schools here in Atlanta were closed due to weather. I myself don't feel like going out. My daily outfit consist of rotation of pajamas and socks. I know it is not a fabulous sight but I feel like hibernating on this cold weather with a cup of good coffee in the morning or a hot cocoa. If it's not for no more food to cook at home, I dare not to go outside.

And can you blame me for wearing over and over again my new found favorite faux fur vest? She gives me warm and comfort just like my home made soup and stew as per my husband and son. I piled on top of another olive vest and a sweater for texture, color and mainly to combat cold.

And as for my little photographer, he agreed to take photos provided he gets to stay inside the car with just the window roll down and properly fed with his choice of food. I think that it is a lot easier to tag him along when he's just a baby and not when he's 8. And yes, he likes to eat at restaurant and no more kids meal. The boy knows how to negotiate !

So while we are waiting for my mother in law at the airport pick up zone only, my son snap some photos of me(of course me urging him). Not quite a busy day, less cars at the curve that's why we did it. But the funny thing is those airport security were on their segway were just literally few steps from me and did not even say a word like "ah miss this is a 5 minute pick up zone only" and "Why are you taking photos"? ha ha ha......The two of them just watched.
Happy Wednesday everyone.

Saturday

Hi everyone. Happy, happy Wednesday. We skip the mall and instead hit the nearby town to cure my husband's antique'ing bug by the bone yard and check out a christmas store that I love to go to around the holidays. They have the prettiest and the most unusual decorations. Inside the store makes me feel giddy and excited. Holiday excited ! I would like to take some pictures but decided not to because I think my husband and son had just enough of me taking pictures at the boneyard and told me that "can we just go through out the day without taking anymore pictures", ha ha ha...Normally I would say "no"  but I didn't. I have the holiday bug in me. I smile and laughing out loud on the inside. My conclusion is that it 's one or the other - super annoyed or ashamed?
Nevertheless, Saturday was a fun family outing. I wore my super comfortable sweater dress. It was a cold day but a faux fur vest, some knee high's, tall boots and some gingerbread latte can't keep me from feeling all right warm.
What's your Saturday gonna be?
Until next time.
xoxo
