See through

Black & white :  classic, understated chic, simple, should not be predictable, should not be boring and should not be safe. I love this color pairings a lot but I also like to add some pop of color. It's like adding some spicy kick to your salsa. As classic as it is, this color pairings is almost as safe and hard to mess up. The see-through grid design gives this top interesting aesthetic and also the texture that I have successfully achieve.
Classic, well yes of course and yet different that I think that this top makes it stands out.
Thank you from the heart.

In the city

Having been living in the suburbs since our moved almost 3 years ago, makes me really missed living in the city. As crazy as it may sound but I love the urban lifestyle, busy, crowded and noise. Seems like everything is right at my reach. Coming from a big city like Houston, TX and remember how I used to see downtown building outside our windows makes me miss it even more. Where we lived now is not so bad after all. With just about 30 minutes from downtown, we are adjusting pretty well and getting used to it. Lines are shorter anywhere we go, less crowded and less busy. Even though we don't get the nice view from the windows anymore, it is a lot peaceful her. Very quiet is is deafening at times. With With last Monday as holiday here in US and so many events going on in ATL, we went and spend the day in the city. And with Dragon com(like a comic con) was going on at that time, that explains why those guys(picture below) dressed in the 70's outfit photobomb me :). It's like halloween in September seeing different people all dressed up in costume.
And since they photobomb me, why not have a picture with them......
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you from the heart.

Whiteout

Happy Tuesday everyone. It was so nice to have a long weekend away from all the stress of life and just had a truly great time. I didn't have time to sit down and take advantage of Labor Day sales because we are constantly doing something else in the past few days. But I did a little shopping a few days before and this white dress includes one of them. I got it on clearance so in the end it all works out. And since I am a little rebel once in a while, not wearing white after the labor day is not a rule for me to follow. There is no rule in fashion, I think ! We should wear what we feel happy about, comfortable and most of all confident. Therefore, I shall and will wear white afterwards. I actually wear this white maxi to a party last Saturday and just didn't have time to gather some thoughts, sit down and compost a post. Better late than never, hey.....
I hope you have a fabulous day
 How was your weekend?
Thank you from the heart.

Marriage of colors

I love wearing two contrasting colors in my clothing choices. It's like a collaboration of colors that truly reflects a happy and fun side of my personality. Just like with these previous post(here & here). I adore the green & blue when paired together. Two contrasting colors but are visually pleasing & harmonious to our eyes. Or to simply put it my way - a happy marriage of colors !

I am not only talking about colors today but the whole outfit. I think I am virtually chatty this morning and surprisingly my brain is all wide awake this early :).

Crop tops, I despise it when it first came back as a hot trend. I have my fair share of wearing them back in the 90's. It takes me like ages in finding just the right one. I have several finds and I am more than happy that I did jump in to this trend wagon happening before it was over. This top reminds me of design hybrid of crop top and a bomber jacket. The green color drew me right away and as soon as I got my hands on it, I already knew what skirt to paired it with. What do you think?

And how fun is this floral embellish clutch that I think pull the whole look together. I love it a lot that it made it's return to the blog not sooner than enough.
I hope you are having a great day !
Thank you from the heart.

Savannah

Summer is not over until we go to the coast. I am talking about the oldest city of Savannah in the state of Georgia. We been here so many times but the charm of the city never fails to fascinate me. The architectural designs of the older buildings, churches & turn of the century houses evokes lots of history and beauty.
One day is not enough to visit and to do things around town. There are so many historical places to see and ghostly cemeteries to go to as a tour by night. If that is not your cup of tea, a river cruise would be just as fine. We did all of those touristy stuff so this visit was more of dining experience, lots of picture taking and buy lots of pralines in one of the river streets candy stores. So old fashion candy making and always love to watch their workers made them ! It also doesn't hurt that they gave away free samples :).

This wrinkle free and uber comfortable maxi dress is perfect outfit for the day. It is like wearing a yoga pants but in a dress version in granite stripes. Lightweight and I actually feel sexy wearing it because it hugs my body just enough from top to mid section and flares out a tad for ease in walking. I got lots of compliments and a perfect way to show my tan arms. The granite stripe. It was on super sale from Loft which makes me even love it even more. The wedges are as much as comfortable to walk in as I remember. We didn't do lots of walking this time so it didn't bother me a bit.
 River street

Chocolate covered apples. This delight is seriously huge and heavy, it can knock your head and hurts :)

more truffles please and my favorite pecan pralines(the one on the top right corner)

The best shrimp sandwich & crab/corn/potato soup. I ate it all !

The bridge that connects Savannah to South Carolina.

Cruising the city is also a good idea. My son said next time we come, he wants to stay in that hotel you see at the far end left. Not a bad idea.

Trolley rides are everywhere in Savannah, they do tours around the city.

One of the historical structure(Kehoe House) in the city.

I am mesmerized by these charming & at the same time spooky Spanish Moss hanging from huge oak trees that were all over the city.

Can't leave the city without trying their horse drawn carriage ride.

Savannah is one of those places that is unique, old soul, charming, fascinating, beautiful and rich of history at every turn.

I hope your week is off to a great start.
Thank you from the heart.
xoxo
