Trick or treat?

Happy halloween everyone. I hope you have a fun out trick or treating. My son is way too excited. He doesn't like candies and chocolates as much but the idea of having way too much candies around the house makes him all giddy. Also my son was so proud with his pumpkins because he won at the school's pumpkin painting/carving contest.

In a metal box

Well hello cold weather ! We are finally getting a taste of Fall weather here in Atlanta. However it only gets colder in the mornings and the rest of the day is warmer. Today is no exception. To bundle up, layer a little or just wear something that will accommodate a chilly warm windy day. How cool is this sweater with an edgy twist via a zipper with faux leather detailing in such a lovely color of golden yellow. I favored my stilletos most of the time but this thigh high boots is as comfortable as it can be and so weather appropriate. And to tell you the truth when the craze about the thigh high boots trend came, I am skeptical and intimidated. My first thought was I wish I was taller to pull off this look,  I wish I had more legs so that I am not overpowered,  I wish I can wear the one with less than 4 inches heels and look decent. Instead of so many I wish and what if's, I tried on the same pair and never look back. It was last year and acquired her on a super great price and was pleased ever since. And I can still remember  as I stare at myself in front of the mirror and contemplating......An older lady was watching me while she was waiting for her shoes. She said it looks great on you. Go on and buy them boots girl!

My precocious 8 year old you took my photos today. He's the one who suggested to get inside the container and get some pictures taken. He needs a haircut so bad but I like all his curls and maybe I can hold up for a little longer.

1. What inspire you to name your blog with its name, what it means to you and which nickname do you sign your blog post?

A: I am petite obviously and I like fabulous stuff that I can truly afford. My blog is my fashion diary. It is my fashion evolution to which later on when I am old and wrinkle, I have something to look at and sigh, lol ! I sign off as Sam because that's what everyone calls me. 

2. If the "Blog Tv" stopped you in the street and asked you "what is your main characteristic, depend on other opinion ". 

A: I get this cute and nice all the time. Well, I am petite for one thing and I have this mantra in life that always be nice to people even if they are not nice to you.  It is me who have no issues but it is the not so nice others that has. Being nice is free, it will not cost you anything so why not be?

3. What is the element that attracts you to keep blogging. 

A: My love for fashion. The evolution of fashion, trends and what not. Seeing myself dressed up this way and compared it to some years later. 

4. What pictures means life to you? 

A: Family picture. They are the love of my life and the life of my world. I cannot live without my two favorite people in the world.

A: Thank you ! It makes a difference in the world when one is truly appreciated.

Red leopard

Without a doubt my favorite print of all time is leopard. However this color combination(red + black) is something new to me. Really, my first ! I love how the faux leather sleeves is fresh and edge it up a bit. 

My 8 year old son took these pictures the other day before we headed out somewhere.  No money involved but a blackmailing works this time. While he's snapping pictures, I saw some people would actually stop to smile and wave. I think this people can't grasp the idea that a little boy is taking my pictures or they were thinking that I have no shame of having my pictures taken on the street. What's your guess? Surprisingly my son was not embarrassed. I think he he's been used to it by now, lol...... 

It's hump day for heaven's sake. Let's all loosen up and just kick back a bit.

Cobalt grid

Happy Monday! It's a great weekend for us and I hope you all have the same thing. Family time is always the best. I found this sweater the other day during a Target visit. The truth is I don't remember leaving that store empty handed. There is always something I find! I just love the grid print and the contrast of colors. Cobalt and burgundy together, unusual but all I can say is that is so appealing to me.  I have this sweater obsession lately and this one definitely caught my eye.

Friday fancies: Food

Hi everyone ! Why do we take pictures of food and share it to all the networking media that we can think of? That is exactly my husband's question all the time. The food that I cooked at home or when we dine and wine. Pictures first before eating, right? Ha ha Ha.....I really don't have an answer for that, do you? Even my 8 year old is against it ! I cannot even count how many times I catch both of them rolled their eyes on me. I am a foodie and I love to cook. But we prefer to eat at home a lot. The main reason being I can control the quality of ingredients to used and it is economical. I guess today I would like to share some of the food I made. With the exception of Teriyaki salmon, greek feast, tempura tower and MM's. The rest are made by yours truly. The thing is I am lucky that my husband and son are not picky eaters. The satisfaction of seeing both of them enjoy every bit of it is priceless to me. Just like the other day while I made some beef stew, my precocious son ask me what is my secret ingredient was. I told him "LOVE".

What does a fox say?

Yeah what does a fox say? Do you know? I sure don't. Never thought about it ever until I encounter this song on you tube with the same title. For me it's a weird, stupid and yet kinda funny. My son likes it a lot though. So timely to wear my crop top with fox and dots. It's been a gloomy day and I little fun top and splash of red will make any day brighter. And just when I told my husband about I am so over the crop top trend(like he cares, lol), here I am with a sweater this time. Unfortunately it might slowly creeping into my closet. Can't help it !

And when my son saw me wearing this top, he immediately said "just like the song mom".

Hat On

Happy, happy Monday everyone. The weather is relatively wonderful in Atlanta. We are just about in the  high 70's consistently in the past few weeks which gives us more excuse to wear shorts. With all these chevron print craze going on last year, it is my first one ever - believe it or not. A chevron print virgin, oh so true !  And I think that my hat is a perfect accessory to this top. What you think? Oh so 70's wannabe and a foster child of that era and I feel so so old...........
