Out and About

Happy Monday everyone. Two days off from work is simply not enough to recoup and do all the things I would like to do. I have noticed lately that I am not managing my time efficiently and I need to do something about it, Pronto !

We are out and about and spend most of the day doing stuff. I am wearing my favorite wedge shoes, it is light weight and super easy to walk in. I wish Sam Edelman makes more of these again in other colors.

This is a quickie post to just say hello and hopefully your week start out fine.

Strike A Pose

 Happy Friday everyone.  This week went by so fast I think and I am not complaining.  This is when I start singing I love Fridays and I hate Mondays, la la la.... This is a long over due post and I just didn't have the time to do it.  I just want to share with you lovelies out there. No it's not me, I did not shrunk some more and did not dye my hair blond !  Meet  my beautiful 4 year old niece Miley. She's too precious isn't it? Last time she came over, she told me I want to play dress up with you. I am happy to do it with her, of course ! She picked the dress and the shoes herself.  She strut her stuff and strike a post !  I wish I took a video of her doing her thing. And I wish we took a picture together.  And do you want to know what my son said, "mommy I will be Miley's manager".

I love my son to pieces and we do a lot of fun stuff together but dressing up is not one of those thing  for sure.  For a six year old boy he already has opinions about the stuff I wear and compliments me at times.  All these time me and Miley are dressing up, Dylan was just waiting.  Just like what his daddy does all the time.

Little Miss Impatient

When life gives you lemon, you make lemonade ! I can't help it when the weather was not cooperating in our neck of the woods and my camera decided to bail out on me. I just make the most of what I have and what I can do. I bought a camera over the weekend but last night as I was playing with it, the LCD screen all of a sudden went black. Everything else is working except for the screen. I went on a panic mode ! Called the tech guy who pretty much told me the same thing that I  already have done  prior. There was only 15 minutes left before the store close and our house is approximately 8 miles from the store. I am very impatient. I cannot wait for tomorrow or do the return on weekends. So I made a mad dash to the store, crazy as it sounds and  I manage to return the camera, thankfully. Now, I am on the hunt again for another one.  Any suggestions?

Monochromatic

Happy Tuesday. Just a quick post to say hello to all you lovelies out there. The weather is not cooperating with me lately. By the time I can manage to squeeze in some time to take photos, the skies are cloudy and rain starts to pour in and in the mornings it is nearly impossible for me to have time to snap some photos before going to work. My mornings are always crazy hectic. I wish I took a much closer shot of my top. It looks like polka dots from a far but actually it's a velvet heart prints.

Favorite Things

I have quite a few favorite things in my closet that I have for years and this romper is one of them. If it's not, most likely Ms. Romper here is not in my closet anymore, lol . I bought it last year. This are one of those good finds from F21.  Nice fabric, comfortable and kept it's shape and I can surely dress it up or down. I have not found anything that is remotely close in terms of the fit yet and I been looking ever since. Since I am a petite gal, rompers and I have a lot of trial and error. It's a challenge and now you know why I love thy romper so much !!!!  An otherwise too plain of an outfit, I decided to incorporate some colors......I hope you like my pairing.

Shorty Tales

I was watching  an episode of "what not to wear" and I remember vividly when Stacy London and Clinton Kelly telling this woman that there are certain age when one can still wear "short shorts" and when you absolutely cannot ! Shorts are one of my wardrobe staple that I cannot live without and in fact one of my favorites. Just like jeans, it is so versatile. With this smoldering heat everywhere, my most trustee bottoms never fails to impress me. I have to be extra careful when buying one because of me being petite, the cut needs to be right. It should be not too short or that would be too "hootchie" or too long that will truncate my already shorty legs. Just like trousers and jeans, I tend not to buy them online as much as possible due to that I have less success rate. There is always something odd about the shape and the waist. Although I carefully read product description, the odd of being return to keeping is always higher.  Readers - what are your thoughts on this? At what age will you "not" wear shorts ever?

Work and life has been busy lately. My work is starting to suck every last energy I have during the day. Sometimes I think that physical labor seems to drain less energy out of you than working in an environment that comprehension and analysis of  information are a MUST to do your job right. Pink and Crimson Red

Hi everyone ! I hope you all had a great fourth of July celebration. We had an awesome day. Hanging out with family,  more swimming,  good food and good time.  Some fireworks at night time to end the lovely day. We just got back from our summer vacation and I am still on my vacay mode and can't snap out of it ! Today are one of those days when I am so pressed for time in the morning and have no idea what to wear and in need to come pick an outfit quickly otherwise I will be driving like a crazy mad woman to avoid being late for work. Thank goodness our work dress policy changed and went from business casual to A ok to wear jeans at work everyday !

Over The Size

Hi everyone. I hope everyone is having a fantastic Monday so far. I don't know about you guys but I love Target. I always find goodies at that store. I found this top on their sale rack. It was 30% off. I usually stay away from anything oversized because I am so petite but this shirt made me take her to the fitting room and give it a try. I think I have gone crazy that day because what was I thinking. Oversized and stripes !!! I balance the outfit instead by pairing it with a skinny jeggings and I love it !  Do you always go by what's the norm? As always, thank you for your time. Splurge or Steal - Silk Blouse

Here's my sunday wants. I am a sucker for botton down shirt. Most especially the shirt made of silk. To me it does gives you a look of sophistication and chic however you style it. I love this number from Equipment but it is not want my checkbook wants. The Victoria Secret is much more budget friendly ! Picture 1 is 100% silk and picture 2 is also made of silk although the VS website did not specify the material composition. By the way both are "dry clean" only ! It depends on what you are looking for and what are you willing to pay for. By looking at both photos, can you even tell the difference? Readers which team are you - Splurge or Steal?
