Travel diary: Texas

I am so glad to be back home and sleeping in my own bed again.
It is way better and there is nothing like it.
Anyway, hello to everyone and cheers to Friday and the weekend of nothing but pure relaxation and fun.

Here are a few snippets of our little get away a few days ago. We went to Texas to attend a high school graduation in San Antonio and went for a side trip to Austin as well. We had fun, ate a lot and still never forgotten how hot it was over there. Even though we've have been to San Antonio's river walk, it is still charming to me and so appealing as always. It is quite lovely to dine outside by the river and just watched people from all walks of life that hails from other parts of the world or perhaps locals also enjoy the atmosphere around the restaurants and shops by the river. There is so much history but I don't want to bore you to death.

Even though I am a former Houstonian, we never been to the Capitol which is located in Austin, Texas. Before I met my husband, I used to lived in Austin and never visited the the Capitol.

I wish I have more pictures to share. Unfortunately, my husband and son are not keen on the idea of taking too many trip pictures. I can't get them to cooperate for all the days that we've been there. The first 2 days are great and for the remainder of the trip, they are not having it, lol.

Thank you from the heart.
xoxo
Sam

  12. I really enjoyed this post! I lived in Texas (Lubbock) for a year as a foreign exchange student and always love to come back. I've never been to San Antonio or Austin and really want to visit those places next time I'm in Texas as they just look beautiful. As I live in Germany I don't have the chance to visit Texas that often, unfortunately. I have a new Instagram and just followed you.I'd be happy if you check out mine too! :) http://instagram.com/allthingsglitterandbeauty

  14. Thanks for tagging us along to your trip to Texas :) I might have the wrong impression of Texas in mind as all I thought of it was a scene from a wild wild west movie. Apparently it has so much more to it :)
