The Palm

Hello everyone. Sending you a virtual wave and smile right now. 

After a few days away from home, I am more than happy to be back and get back to my daily routine. I don't know but no matter where I am or wherever I been to, there is no place like home. Much more so that it is a bit harder when you are on vacation to stay on a healthy mindset. 

Nothing much is happening lately, except the fact that I can't believe that I am wearing a palm print top. An alternative I must say to florals if it is not your thing. What do you think? 

Perhaps you might be just like me, never say never ! 

I don't wear a lot of prints but I am somehow getting there.

Yellow mood

Summer white

I always favored a white dress. Especially a cotton type of a material, light and airy for summer days that is nothing but humid, hot and sticky. I just adore the simplicity of this dress with little details such as the lace inserts allover, the sleeves that flutter and the double layer style. We are going to a Memorial day cookout and spending time with family so I will wear this dress again. I just hope I will not spill any sauce all over me as accidents do happen whenever I wear white :). 

Also, I have uploaded more pictures than the usual as you might have notice. My husband complained the other day about him taking all too many pictures and I only picked the most 5 or so. Well point taken mister, here's to a compromise !

I am not going to any special event anytime soon but somehow one of you might be going to a fabulous shindig sometime in the near future. Insta life: It's the small things that matters

This is what's life lately. 

The normal, the usual and simple. 

This is how I prefer it to be, when my son is little and we are young.

Me and my cotton candy. I don't remember when was the last time I had one. I did not ate all of it though during my husband's block party at work. 

Have you had eggplant torta? It is a Filipino dish that is strongly influence by Spanish culture. I often cooked it at home. try it sometime. here's the recipe.

I like visiting small towns for some of them still has the old timey candy store and soda pop machine.

Hiking a trail in 1,250 is a lot easier coming down. Me, puffing and huffing coming up, no joke !

Just a typical 8 year old swinging on a tree branch.

Our dog Junior always camera ready. You call him and he looks and stares. 

I took this picture from our backyard with an odd shape cloud one early evening.

Spectacular view from the top of the lodge. Serene, quiet and priceless. My morrning coffee with this view is not bad at all.

The SIGN. Oh the trail is only 1,250 in length. Not a big deal. 

Street signs, why do you take pictures of them? Says my husband. No answer.

Downtown Dahlonega, GA. The town is small and quaint. An old gold mine town.

My son first time fishing. He catch a small one and he gets excited. After that it went downhill. The fish are too smart enough just to nibble on the worm bait and not fully bite it. 

Our bunny "Spartacus". He has gotten bigger and fatter. I told my son onetime that some of my make up brush are made of bunny hairs, he said that is terrible mom ! I felt like an idiot. What was I thinking?

Roasted mushrooms with crusty french bread to mop all the liquid goodness. So simple and yet so good.

I truly appreciate the detailing in any item of clothing that I buy. Just like these shorts, the laser cut details makes it not just any other black shorts. The detailing is what really sold me which I think resembles a dozens open windows. The dressier vibe makes it ideal for a date night with the hubs.

Hello everyone.... Hump day no less ! Today like any other blog post, I wish you have a fantastic day. I adore this top a lot when I first saw it. I was drawn with the dramatic pleat ruffles and the color.  Need not realize that the shoulders has something extra until I receive it. Definitely not a shoulder pads but it is something the way it was constructed that make it stands out. I feel like I am wearing one of those uniforms from a marching band wherein the shoulders were more pronounced. I hope I did not confuse you but this is the best way I can describe it.
